Here is a little more information about how the club works.
We hold monthly meetings with plant competitions, a borrowing library, plants are for sale on the trade tables. Visitors are always welcome. The meetings are held on the second Monday of each month.
The Salvation Army Hall, 6 Bartlett Road, Noosaville (off Rene Street).
12.30pm for a 1pm start. Meetings generally lasts about three hours.
We welcome visitors to join us at each meeting. ($5 charge)
To enjoy our free Afternoon Tea you will need to bring your own mug and a small plate to each meeting. We like to spend our time mixing and mingling not washing dishes. Tea, coffee and light refreshments are supplied. Morning Tea time is a lovely social way to get to know other club members and share our mutual love of plants and gardens.
We have a speaker talking on a different topic of interest at each meeting.
Periodically the club organises outings to Home Gardens, Expos and Social Events.
For some of these excursion travel is by private car, car pool or bus
During each meeting members have the opportunity to borrow books from our extensive gardening library.
Members are able to bring plants they have grown and wish to sell on our Trade Tables. Our club retains 10% commission on the sale price. Seller will collect money raised at the following meeting. Plants must be transported in a box, labeled with sellers name on paddle pop stick for display on Trade Table.
Our Competition Tables consist of many categories where members can bring their plants for member judging. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd best on the day. Exhibit time from 12.30pm.…
