The Garden Clubs of Australia Inc. is a not-for-profit umbrella group established to provide encouragement and support for over 750 autonomous garden clubs and societies. These are like minded people who share a passion for gardening across the Nation supported by the motto ‘Friendship through Gardens’.
The Queensland Council of Garden Clubs Inc. was established in April 1967 as an organisation of garden clubs to encourage friendship and co-operation between them. There are now 126 member garden clubs, plant societies and other special interest groups - from Cairns to Tweed Heads.

Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens
The Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens was established in 1974. These beautiful gardens are situated on 6,000 year old foreshore dunes spanning 26 hectares.
Today the gardens boast established plants of the Wide Bay and Great Sandy regions in a mixture of natural bushland, formal gardens, rain forest and wetlands.
Located on Eumundi Noosa Road, Doonan Sand and Gravel offers a delivery service for Noosa and surrounding areas.

The Association encourages and supports the growth of societies or associations interested in the conservation, development, well being and public appreciation of Botanic Gardens and represents the interests of Friends of Botanic Gardens throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Members range from small Community Gardens in Country Towns to the larger Metropolitan Botanic Gardens

Consideration must be given to appropriate plant choice as birds and other animals can distribute seeds into nearby bushland and rainforest fringes causing destruction of natural habitat
