ABOUT OUR

CLUB MEETINGS

Here is a little more information about how the club works.

WHEN

We hold monthly meetings with plant competitions, a borrowing library, plants are for sale on the trade tables.  Visitors are always welcome.  The meetings are held on the second Monday of each month. 

WHERE 

Anglican Church 17 William Street Tewantin.  Sunshine Coast

TIME 

1pm for competition table exhibits and 1:30pm meeting start.  Meetings generally lasts about three hours.

VISITORS 

We welcome visitors to join us at each meeting. ($5 charge) 

AFTERNOON TEA

Enjoy  Afternoon Tea with us.  You  will need to bring your own mug and a small plate to each meeting.  We like to spend our time mixing and mingling not washing dishes.  Tea, coffee and light refreshments are supplied.  Afternoon Tea time is a lovely social way to get to know other club members and share our mutual love of plants and gardens. ($2 donation made on entry)

GUEST SPEAKERS

We have a speaker talking on a different topic of interest at each meeting.  

EXCURSIONS/OUTINGS

Periodically the club organises outings to Home Gardens, Expos and Social Events.

For some of these excursion travel is by private car, car pool or bus

CLUB LIBRARY

During each meeting members have the opportunity to borrow books from our extensive gardening library.

TRADE TABLES

Members are able to bring plants they have grown and wish to sell on our Trade Tables. Our club retains 10% commission on the sale price.  Seller will collect money raised at the following meeting.  Plants must be transported in a box, labeled with sellers name on paddle pop stick for display on Trade Table.

COMPETITION TABLES

Our Competition Tables consist of many categories where members can bring their plants for member judging. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd best on the day. Exhibit time from 12.30pm.…(Exhibits must be submitted before 12:30pm)

AFFILIATIONS

Tewantin-Noosa Garden Club (TNGC)  is affiliated with the Queensland Council of Garden Clubs Inc. and Garden Clubs of Australia Inc.

NEWSLETTERS

Members are emailed an informative monthly newsletter.  The Newsletter can also be found on the Clubs Private Facebook account.
